Mrs. Salinas and Mrs. Happel's 3rd grade class conducted research on famous explorers using both traditional (books) and electronic resources (Age of Exploration Pathfinder & MackinVIA). They took notes and cited sources and then used their new found knowledge to write a persuasive paragraph about their explorers missions, adventures, and conquests. The paragraph was typed into a Google Doc template that was shared with their teacher. Students then selected highlights from their paragraph to create a Glogster recruitment poster for their explorer's mission. Finally, students used their image searching skills to locate relevant Creative Commons (CC) or Public Domain images to enhance their Glogster posters.
